Opening
Hours:
- Summer
months (May-September), 10.30am - 8.30pm during Monday - Saturday. Sunday,
2.00pm - 8.30pm.
- Winter
months (October - April), 10.30am - 5.30pm during Monday - Saturday.
Sunday, 2.00pm - 5.30pm.
- Evening
visits by request. Open bank holidays and closed Christmas/Boxing
day.
Visiting
groups catered for on request e.g. tea, sandwiches and tray bakes.
Admission
prices:
Free, donations if desired which goes towards upkeep of this historic
cottage.
Facilities:
Disabled access, education facilities, meeting room, shop, car parking,
toilets, picnic area with apple orchards overlooking it. Light refreshments
on sale.

Elements
of Display:
Displays include relics fro the battle, orange memorabilia, original furniture
from the cottage and old farming and dairy artefacts. Also old chair in
top room whch came with the Winter family in 1665, Traditional holds that
this old chair had been used when the first embryonic meeting was held
in the cottage after the Battle of the Diamon in 1795. The walls of the
cottage were repaired using bricks made of red clay from the back of the
cottage. These bricks were dried in the griddle over the fire.
