| Dear Friend, The first Annual General Meeting of the Society was held in Schomberg House on 9th November 2002. The Chairman reported that the first year of formation had been very successful and that we now had eighty members spread throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. The Society's newsletter had been instrumental in informing Loyal Order memorabilia collectors about new and existing items for sale. The newsletter is also helping to keep our history alive by relating stories behind historical events. As part of the Society's aims to produce new memorabilia, it had commissioned a badge to commerate the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Ulster's Solemn League and Covenant. The Society also intends to produce an annual Boyne Celebrations commerative badge, which should prove to be very collectable. As a reflection of the Society's support for Orangeism a percentage of the profits of the Boyne Celebration badge will be donated to Orange charities. The Society will also sell the badge to Lodges at a discount to enable them to raise funds. The year 2003 marks the quad-centenary of the union of the Scottish and English crowns and the Society has commissioned a badge to honour the event. The Society looks forward with confidence to the future and is now another strand of Orangeism that reflects positively on our cause.
