Presentation to Wor Sir Knight George Irvine

On Wednesday 18th March 2009 the Sovereign Grand Master, Rt Wor Sir Knight Millar Farr, and the Imperial Grand Treasurer, Wor Sir Knight William Abernethy, attended West Belfast Orange Hall with the purpose of presenting Wor Sir Knight George Irvine with an embossed sealed certificate. The certificate recorded the thanks of the Sovereign Grand Master, Officers and Sir Knights of the Imperial Grand Black Chapter of the British Commonwealth for the fifteen years service which Wor Sir Knight George Irvine had given as Imperial Grand Master of Ceremonies.

The certificate states that during this period "he directed the Ceremonies and Procedures of Imperial Grand Council in an exemplary manner" adding "He personally displayed and required in others an attention to detail that set a very high standard. The example he set greatly enhanced the office held".

It was an honour for those present to witness the token of recognition being presented by the Sovereign Grand Master to a Sir Knight who has given so much service to the Institution. Wor Sir Knight Irvine was previously the City of Belfast Grand Lecturer and is still the Lecturer for Juniper RBP 7.
