The Preceptory was reformed on 7th November 1949 and encamped at Ballynafeigh Orange Hall R.B.D.C. NO 7. They transferred to Sandy Row soon after formation to use the same hall as their sister organisation. Records show the original Preceptory number can be traced back to a Warrant in the Transvaal Province of South Africa. The new founder members transferred in from Preceptories in or around Belfast but their roots where in County Monaghan. They came north for employment and to avoid persecution in the newly formed Free State and most had paraded in the Last Demonstrations in the lost counties.
